How to Register

Families are required to complete an Application Form, which will help determine the needs of the family. All information gathered on these forms will remain strictly confidential at all times. Families who have been identified as needing support will have priority into the pro-gram. *Completing an application is the first step in the application process and does not guarantee acceptance.

Indigenous Led
Child Care

  • Location: 1770 Courtwood
  • Open year round, 7:30 am to 6:00 pm
  • Fees associated with the program (Please see Indigenous Led Child Care Page)
  • Children must be between the ages of 0-6 years old to be considered for enrollment
  • Open to all children and families however priority will be given to Indigenous children and families
  • Children with special needs will be encouraged to participate in the program and will do our best to accommodate these children if appropriate resources can be secured.
  • Once the initial number of spaces is filled, parents may place their child on a waiting list. Children on the waiting list are prioritized based on City of Ottawa prioritization criteria rather than on a first come first served basis.

Aboriginal
Head Start

  • Location: 297 Olmsted
  • September to June, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
  • No fees associated with the program
  • Children must be between the ages of 2.5-6 years old to be considered for enrollment
  • Children and families must identify as First Nations, Inuit or Metis
  • Children with special needs will be encouraged to participate in the program and will do our best to accommodate these children if appropriate resources can be secured
  • Once the initial number of spaces is filled, parents may place their child on a waiting list. Children on the waiting list are prioritized based on need rather than on a first come first served basis.
